AT&T’s version of the Galaxy S II is the next in line to get its Jelly Bean serving. Similarly to other updates, you won’t be able to update over the air and will rather have to rely on Samsung’s infamous Kies software. That, however, shouldn’t come as a problem considering all of the benefits you’ll get. Aside from Android 4.1 goodies like Google Now, actionable notifications and Project Butter enhancements – Samsung and AT&T are also adding their own tweaks. For instance, there are pre-installed apps like Browser bar, Drive mode improvements, AT&T Locker, Mobile HotSpot and Featured Apps Widget, while Qik and MSpot are removed. Additionally, firmware version I727UCMC1 will also improve call quality.
Yup, you should install Samsung Kies on your PC or Mac (if you still haven’t done so), connect your Galaxy S II Skyrocket and follow the on-screen procedure to get the new software… And if you need more information, check out this page at Samsung’s website…
