This handmade iPhone 5 with gold and diamonds could be yours for $15.3 million

Stuart Hughes, a jeweler which custom-made luxurious versions of Apple’s products we’ve seen before, is back with the world’s most expensive smartphone – iPhone 5 with gold and diamonds.

Hughes says it took him 9 weeks to build this super-expensive device that is made out of 24-carat gold, while its home button consists of a 26-carat black diamond. In addition, the Apple logo and the phone’s corners are built using the white diamonds.

In total, some 600 precious stones were used to make this phone, 53 of which are housed in the Apple logo at the back.

An unnamed Chinese businessmen who owns the black diamond that went into the construction ordered this device and will pay (or has already paid) 10 million GBP (about $15.3 million) for it.

Yeah, it’s not our next phone, though if you do want something like this, you may want to check out “cheaper” gold versions that go for “just” $33,800. Or you can consider investing in an IntoMobile ad. Had to add that… ;)
