LG announces New York event May 1 - Optimus G Pro coming to the U.S.

After Samsung, LG is getting ready to make a big splash at its own event in the New York City, most likely launching the Optimus G Pro in the U.S. We’ve already told you a lot about this LG device (in our review) but we’re still not sure whether the Korean company will bring the “regular” 5.5-inch model or the one with a smaller 5-inch screen that was recently launched in Japan. Personally, I prefer the latter, but that doesn’t mean the bigger Pro is bad in any sense of the word – it just may be too big for some users, whereas the 5-inch one have the potential of reaching more hands.

Again, the LG Optimus G Pro is one of the best smartphones on the planet, boasting a super-fast quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, full HD screen, 13-megapixel rear-camera, 3G/4G, Wi-Fi, and so on and on. In addition, it also comes with LG’s own tweaks in the software, providing few handy capabilities you can use on a such big screen (like running few windowed apps). We’ll make sure to get back to the U.S. version of the phone as soon as we get our review unit. Stay tuned in the meantime…
