We’ve already told you that Pantech is working on a smartphone with bezel-less display and voila, the 5-inch Vega Iron is now officially official, at least in Korea and yet again, we’ve no idea whether the company will manage to bring this baby to the Western hemisphere. We do know that “bezel-less” in this case stands for 2.4mm, meaning you won’t be accidentally tapping the screen’s edges, but that’s still not the same as a 0mm bezel. In comparison, 2.4mm is roughly half the bezel width on an iPhone 5.
So, we’re still talking about an awesome product, which according to the Korean company delivers an impressive viewable-to-total area ratio of 75.5%.
Rest of the Vega Iron’s specs are top notch as well and include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, in-cell LCD and Gigabit Wi-Fi among other things. Yup, we want to try out this bad boy but are not sure we’ll actually manage to get a review unit anytime soon. ;(
