Bring-your-own-SIM operator Ultra Mobile unveiled a new affordable calling plan that also packs unlimited international messaging to 194 countries. Available for $19 per month, this plan comes with 250 voice minutes with $1.25 toward international calling, as well as 50MB of mobile data.
Additional minutes, if you need ’em, cost 2 cents each, while more data is sold in 50, 250 and 500 MB bundles for $2.50, $5 and $10, respectively.
Ultra Mobile, for those who don’t know, is a MVNO relying on T-Mobile’s network. It was launched in October with three different plans — available for $29, $39 and $49 — targeting the 40 million-strong immigrant community. In that sense, it competes with the likes of Ting, Jolt Mobile, FreedomPop, Ready SIM, Solavei and Simple Mobile.
