Apple is known to tweak its projects to the very last minute and their spaceship campus won’t be an exception. In fact, it has undergone some revisions to make it even better, which is the decision that will postpone the completion date to 2016. That’s about a year later than originally planned and some $2 billion over the original budget.
The revised plans include 240 more parking spaces for a total of 10,980 spaces, 4 new public art installations, as well as more bike and walking paths along the private roads around the main building.
However, the biggest change is to what is known as the Tantau Development, which is a separate set of buildings that were going to be built along North Tantau Avenue. This part won’t be built alongside the “spaceship” building as originally planned; rather it is left for a future second phase.
According to Electronista, at least some of the employees who were to be housed in the Tantau Development might be temporarily moved to the soon-to-be-completed Americas Operation Center in Austin, Texas…
