Popular messaging and social networking app LINE has crossed the 150 million registered users mark! To make for an even more impressive news, it’s worth adding that the new 50 million users were added in just three months after the company has hit the 100 million user milestone.
Those living under a rock (and obviously not use the LINE app) should know that LINE gives users free voice calls and messages across popular mobile platforms like iOS, Android and Windows Phone. It works both over cellular networks (3G and 4G) as well as Wi-Fi. The application is now available in 12 languages, including the recent additions of Spanish, French and Portuguese.
What’s more, LINE is also heading to select feature phone users, namely those owning Nokia Asha phones. The partnership with the Finnish company will give LINE access to emerging markets of Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, helping it reach the next milestone.
