Speaking at a recent investors conference, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop announced that the Finnish company was ramping up to release new products in its affordable line of Asha phones.

“We are continuing to renew our portfolio, which includes plans to announce innovation and new products in the Asha line in the days immediately ahead,” said Nokia Chief Executive Stephen Elop.

The Asha phones target budget-conscious consumers and are usually priced under $100 without a contract. Most Ashas rock a QWERTY keyboard, but recently leaked concept renderings suggest a full touchscreen model may be on the way.
