Nokia Lumia 521 Available on T-Mobile Online Store Starting May 22nd

T-Mobile today has announced the availability of Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 powered Lumia 521, which will be exclusively available on T-Mobile’s network. The device will retail for $29.99 down with 24 monthly payments of $5 for qualified customers who choose a new simple choice plan. The device will be available online and in selected retail stores beginning on May 22nd.

The Lumia 521 will also go on sale at Microsoft Retail Stores for $149 and at Walmart for $129.88 on May 11, and customers who have already purchased or ordered the device will receive an OTA update on May 20th, which will enable the Wi-Fi calling feature. Handsets purchased through T-Mobile’s website and retail stores will come with Wi-Fi calling enabled.

The Nokia Lumia 521 runs on the Windows Phone 8 platform and touts a 4-inch screen, a 5MP camera with auto-focus and 720p HD video, Nokia apps such as Nokia Music, Cinemagraph, Creative Studio, Panorama, Smart Shoot, Maps and Transit.

If you’re looking for a mid-range handset at an affordable price, this just could be the smartphone for you.
