If you’ve been holding out to get yourself a new Windows Phone on Verizon Wireless, then your wait is coming to an end. Today, the Nokia Lumia 928 was officially announced for Big Red, and it will be hitting store shelves on May 16th for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and new two-year contract.

The Nokia Lumia 928 features a 4.5 inch OLED display, along with a 8.7 megapixel camera and both LED and Xenon flashes. The Xenon flash will be used for photos, where the LED will be used for video capture. Like a few other Lumia handsets in Nokia’s lineup, the Lumia 928 will also feature wireless charging out of the box.

At the moment, it doesn’t look like you’ll get your standard array of interesting colors for the Lumia 928, as it will only be available in black or white. However, that should change down the road.

As a limited time bonus, Nokia Lumia 928 owners will receive a $25 credit for games and applications for Windows Phone store.
