Alongside the Lumia 925 smartphone, Nokia also announced new software, including the new Nokia Smart Camera mode and Hipstamatic, both of which will be available for other smartphones in the Lumia series.
The former is described as the “next generation imaging software” made to “capture clearer, sharper pictures and video, including the best low light images.” The Nokia Smart Camera mode will soon come with the so called Amber update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones, offering an easy way to capture ten images at once and edit the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus for creating the perfect high quality image.
As for Hipstamatic, it will allow users to share their photos with like-minded enthusiasts on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Instagram. Look for it in the Windows Phone Marketplace soon.
The Finnish company said that the Amber software update will happen at some point this summer. We’ll get back to you as soon as we get some more precise date…
