Samsung Galaxy Win is coming to India. However, interested folks won’t be able to buy it under that name; rather the Korean company renamed it to Galaxy Grand Quattro. We’re not sure why the name change was needed but what do we know.
Anyway, Samsung suggests MSRP of Rs. 17,290 (about $312) though some retailers are offering it for less – around Rs. 16,000 ($289).
Specs wise, the Galaxy Win/Grand Quattro comes with a 4.7-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back, 8GB of internal memory, 2,000mAh battery and a microSD memory card slot. Plus, let’s not forget Samsung’s own feature-enhancing software like Smart Alert, Motion UI, Easy Mode (though that’s not actually enhancing any features) and so on.
As part of the promotional push, Samsung is offering a Digital Wallet of Rs. 3000 valid for 90 days for games. Folks who buy the Galaxy Grand Quattro should send SMS “MyOffer” to 56886 to get a download link for myServices app to claim their free games…
