File this under “rumors” cause we still don’t have a thing confirmed from LG. However, it looks like the recently leaked Optimus L4 II won’t be the only new member of the company’s L-Series with L9 II ready to join the party as well.
We don’t have all the information, but TechTastic claims that the phone pictured above is legit, presenting the next step in the Optimus L9 evolution. The same site says that the L9 II will come with a 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS display and Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, which is also found in the HTC First (aka the Facebook phone). Needless to say, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will run the show out of the box.
Announcement date and pricing information are still unknown but you can be sure we’ll share all the missing details as soon as we get ‘em. In the meantime, it’s worth reminding that LG managed to move more than 10 million L-Series devices last year and in that sense, the complete refresh of this line-up could help the Korean company reach its goal of moving 45 million smartphones by the end of 2013.
