Valve’s online game emporium, Steam, has been putting out some excellent deals lately. This weekend is no exception, as Sid Meier’s Civilization V is discounted to just $7.49, or $12.49 for the “Gold Edition” that includes a mountain of DLC. It’s available for Windows PCs and Macs.
If that’s not enough for you, the game is free to play all weekend. The promotion goes until Sunday at 1pm PDT, and should give you plenty of time to raise your fledgling society and vie for scarce resources.
Here’s the blurb from Steam:
“The Flagship Turn-Based Strategy Game Returns Become Ruler of the World by establishing and leading a civilization from the dawn of man into the space age: Wage war, conduct diplomacy, discover new technologies, go head-to-head with some of history’s greatest leaders and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known.”
Sure, Civilization V is a few years old, but the gameplay stands the test of time (and the price is right!). It maintains a 90/100 metacritic score and has had a steady stream of DLC content since its release. There’s a whole lot of strategy gaming for a pretty tiny price here, folks. Click on over to Steam to grab a download!
