What we have here is the first glimpse of the upcoming Windows Phone Blue that will likely be released later this year. Microsoft is (obviously) still quiet about what we can expect in the next version of Windows Phone though they’re not hiding that the notification center will be included as part of the update — they admitted running out of time to cram it in Windows Phone 8.
Anyway, the screenshots we’ve got suggest that feature is coming, and so do UI tweaks and multitasking improvements with the ability to close apps in the multitasking view (just like many other smartphones/platforms do).
In case you wonder, this software came preinstalled on the Nokia Lumia 920 a Reddit user bought on eBay. It [software] identifies itself as version 12084.WPMAIN(wpbldlab).20130509-1407, hinting us it was compiled on May 9th.
It’s likely this isn’t the last time we’ll be talking about Windows Phone Blue before it’s being officially announced. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have something worth talking about to add. Stay tuned…
