Nintendo didn’t quite make it to E3 to make announcements this year, opting rather for a livestreamed presentation that was broadcast simultaneously around the world. Early this morning, Nintendo livestreamed its Nintendo Direct presentation, which showcased a slew of new upcoming titles for the company’s Wii U and Nintendo 3DS platforms. In true Nintendo style, most of the releases were remakes of older Nintendo titles, such as Super Smash Brothers and The Legend Of Zelda. While other game developers sometimes create unimaginative sequels of their titles, Nintendo has proven time and time again that it has what it takes to retain the ethos and gameplay of older titles while offering a new, insanely entertaining experiences. And from the videos we’ve seen today, Nintendo is on the right track.
Nintendo announced and showed around thirty new titles today, and we’ve compiled a round-up of all of our coverage of Nintendo’s big day. Needless to say, we couldn’t cover them all, so be sure to check out the Nintendo Direct Presentation at the end of the post for all of the stuff we’ve missed.
