MapQuest releases Windows Phone 8 app

Windows Phone 8 owners get another navigation choice in MapQuest. One of the originals in online mapping is offering its mobile app with usable services for free. Features include voiced, turn-by-turn directions for driving and walking, along with live traffic and the usual point-of-interest searching.

And as you can expect, the MapQuest Windows Phone 8 version is your basic get to where you have to go application. It’s not packed with top-notch stuff like Nokia Maps or Google Maps. So users shouldn’t expect the best from this free app, however, it’s another option for WP8 phone owners to choose from. More choices is never a bad thing, right?
