Nokia updated its Nokia Chat application for Lumia Windows Phone devices. The main new thing of version 1.1 is NFC support that allows users to quickly tap+send their chat address, the details of anyone on their chat contact list, and Nokia Chat itself to another NFC-equipped Lumia. You’ll still have to touch the screen to select the contact you want to share, but there’s at least one tap less included.
In addition, Nokia Chat also got a number of performance and visual improvements. For instance, in a conversation with many messages, older messages are initially hidden and automatically become visible as you move up-screen into your chat history – making for a that much faster experience (cause fewer messages load initially). Moreover, message bubbles are now evenly spaced, allowing you to see more of a conversation on a single screen.
Finally, many of the bug fixes are included in this release, and the application is now available in few additional markets, including Hong Kong, Macao, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, and Pakistan (with more markets coming in the future)…
