According to a picture snapped by neoGAF user Cyborg, the Sony Playstation 4 may be released in European retail stores on November 13, 2013. Cyborg spotted a poster at Media Markt in Amsterdam, which listed the release date underneath a picture of the Playstation 4. Cyborg also claims that store associates confirmed the release date of the system, and another neoGAF forum user claims his father saw a similar sign in Austria.
We have no clue as to whether the retailer just made the release date up or if it had appeared accidentally. Sony has confirmed that the Playstation 4 will retail for $399, but has made no statements about when the console is slated to launch.
Typically, consoles have launched in Japan and the U.S. before making their way to Europe. With signs pointing to an October release for the Playstation 4 in the U.S., a November launch for Europe would be a welcome change of pace for Sony fans.
