Sony Xperia ZL getting Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update as we speak

Sony has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia ZL smartphone. Aside from packing platform-wide improvements, the Japanese company also included updates to its own apps along with software tweaks and stability improvements. In that sense, the firmware version 10.3.A.0.423 brings latest version of Sony Media Apps, my Xperia application that helps you find your phone and secure everything you have on it, new Customizable navigation bar with quick settings, new widget functionalities for both lockscreen and homescreen, as well as support for bigger (64GB) SD cards so that you can store even more media on your phone.

The new software is rolling out now for European LTE (C6503) and HSPA+ models (C6502), as well as ZLs sold in North America (C6506). If you still haven’t been informed about the update – don’t worry, it’s coming any day now. Alternatively, you can download and install the FTF firmware file via Flashtool from here
