Looks like Sony is preparing to unveil a new SmartWatch this week at Mobile Asia Expo 2013 in Shanghai. The company has tweeted a few messages saying that “one in three smartphone users want smart wrist wear” and that wearable tech is their DNA. All this is followed by #itstime and #MAE13 hashtags, the latter standing for this year’s Mobile Asia Expo.
Sony is holding a media event in Shanghai later this week when we should see what they’ve come up with. At that time we may also see their first phablet announced.
The existing Sony SmartWatch is arguably the most popular such device despite some newer products like Pebble getting much more attention lately. We’re certain Sony can design a smart watch people will crave about and can’t wait to try it out the second it’s out…
