Just when we’ve told you that Huawei Ascend P6 is the world’s thinnest smartphone in the world a new device appeared to steal that title from the Chinese company. It’s Umeox X5 which will be available in few European countries (including France) during the summer.
However, it’s important to add that this phone isn’t as solidly built as Huawei’s baby, though it’s decent nonetheless. The X5 has a 5.3-inch screen with most likely 720p HD resolution, dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera on the back and 3-megapixel front-facing camera, while Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is running the show right from the get-go. And the most important part – it has a 5.6mm-thin body which is 0.5mm thinner than the Huawei Ascend P6.
We’re still not sure how much this phone will cost but if you’re looking for a thin device, we say go for the Ascend P6. It’s much better phone with better software, aluminum body and it comes from a more reputable company that will likely stay in the business for the years to come…
