T-Mobile HTC One S owners may have noticed quite the battery drainage issue after the Jelly Bean update rolled out last April, and a new update for the One S today resolves that debilitating issue. The update that is starting to roll out OTA today focuses solely on the battery ailments, which is welcome news for One S users.
In order to receive the update, users must already be operating their devices on software version 3.14.531.11 710RD, have an un-rooted device and have at least a 50% charge before initiating the update. The update is beginning to be being pushed to devices today, and can also be installed manually through HTC’s Sync Manager software.
To see if the update is ready for your device, head to Settings> About phone> Software updates on your device and hit the Check Now button. To install the update manually, head over to HTC’s website and follow the step-by-step instructions.
