With the Google Reader shutdown just a few short days away, the Digg team is rolling out its beta of Digg Reader. The RSS service has been added tot he Digg app for iOS, letting iOS users try out its answer to the Google Reader shutdown.
Digg will not be bringing the RSS service to a standalone app, but rather merging the service with its existing Digg mobile apps. Digg Reader offers an easy transition from Google Reader, allowing beta users to import their Google Reader feeds and folders into the service. Users will also be able to “digg” feeds, and will showcase trending content.
The Digg app is currently available for iPhone and iPad users, and can be downloaded at the iTunes App store.
