Next-Gen Nexus 7 Specs Leaked Via Asus CS Rep?

We’re all expecting the next-generation Nexus 7 tablet to debut sometime soon, and we’ve already seen a decent amount of ‘leaked’ specs for the device. Well, this time around, an Asus Customer Service Rep was nice enough to spill the beans through the company website’s Live Chat.

According to the specs, the upcoming Nexus 7 will rock the following specs:

  • 7-inch LED 1980×1200 display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB Internal Storage
  • 5 megapixel rear camera
  • 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC
  • LTE/WCDMA/GSM support
  • Android 4.3
Sound good enough? Well, the chances that these specs are the real deal is minimal. This could have easily been faked on the part of the user, but then again, the specs aren’t completely unbelievable.

All signs point to the next Nexus 7 having a snappier CPU, higher resolution display, and a rear camera. This much is easy to believe. While we’d definitely like to see the Snapdragon 600 running the show on the next-gen version of the Nexus 7, we also wouldn’t be surprised if it ships with the slightly older Snapdragon S4 Pro.

Only time will tell if these specifications are the real deal. What’s your take? Check out more photos here on Google+
