If you’ve been patiently awaiting any official information on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3, then you know it’s been long waiting game. Well, while there still isn’t much to speak of, the latest rumor may still perk up your ears. According to AndroidGeeks, an ‘insider’ has pegged September 4th as the official announcement for the Galaxy Note 3.
Like many of its other announcements, the insider claims that Samsung will have its very own Unpack event two days before IFA to announce the Galaxy Note 3.
We’ve heard varying specifications for the Galaxy Note 3, with the latest rumor saying that there will be two variants, each with different display types and CPUs. This, of course, shouldn’t come as a big surprise, as we’ve seen Sammy do just this with previous devices. The device is rumored to use both Super AMOLED and IPS panels, and both Snapdragon 800 and Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa.
The specification speculation has the Galaxy Note 3’s display size all over the place, with some claiming the phablet will ship with a 5.7 inch display, with others pegging it at 5.99 and 6.3 inches. Whatever the screen size will be, we’re pretty sure it will be a 1080p HD display, if not higher.
As it goes, the rumor mill will begin to churn until something official is announced. Whether that’s on September 4th or not remains to be seen.
Stay tuned for more Galaxy Note 3 news — there’s going to be a lot.
