After its own backyard and Hong Kong, South Korea’s Pantech is going to other places. The company is launching two of its phones, Vega Q and Vega No. 6, in Taiwan hinting us they are looking to expand to other places. And yes, we hope to see their products hitting the West.
The first of the two mentioned devices is waterproof case, featuring a 4.3-inch 720p HD screen, 8-megapixel camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It will be available for 11,400 TWD, which translates into some $380.
As for the Vega No. 6, we’ve already talked about it in the past. If you recall, it’s a powerful phablet with specs that include a 5.9-inch full HD screen, 13-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel front-facing one, Qualcomm’s quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded with microSD cards. This model will go for 19,900 TWD or about $663.
Again, we hope to see these and future Pantech products coming to the Western hemisphere…
