Snapchat For Android Updated With Redesigned Interface, New Palette Colors, Camera Improvements

Snapchat for Android has received a substantial update today, bringing with it a more refined looking layout and updated icons. Version 3.0.1 makes it easier than ever for users to access their contact list and inbox, integrating swipe gestures into the mix which can be accessed directly from the camera screen.  The color palette for drawing on photo snaps has a few new colors as well, with brown, black and white now available. Users now have the option to directly reply to snaps, as a “double tap to reply” text now sits next to opened snaps in the inbox.

New in 3.0.1:
– New Interface!
– Swipe to access snaps and friends
– Easy search for friends
– Faster camera
– Snapkidz
– Dancing ghost 🙂

If you’re a Snapchat user, you’re going to love the new look and feel of this update. If you’re new to the Snapchat scene, hit the Play Store link below to download the app. Happy snapping!

  • Hmm, seems underwhelming.

They also forgot to mention that on some phones like mine (HTC ChaCha) the update completely kills off the app and will not even load the camera. Instead, we are welcomed by a black screen which is unresponsive to any actions, hardly the spectacular update described here…

I have the same fucking problem and I’m so tired of going through all the setting just to find that it can’t be fixed…
