AT&T brings its mobile backup service to Windows Phone 8

AT&T is expanding the reach of its mobile backup service to Windows Phone 8 users.

The cloud-based AT&T Locker comes with 5GB of free storage with the ability to unlock another 45GB free of charge for the limited time. In order to do that, go to the “More Page” within the app, choose settings and My Plan. The 50GB plan should be marked free, and once you tap it – a pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the plan change.

As you may already know, AT&T’s service allows you to upload photos, videos, documents and music files either over Wi-Fi or AT&T’s mobile network. There’s the Easy Upload feature that will automatically back up your photos and videos, as well as the manual option. Once in AT&T’s cloud, these files can easily be shared via email, Facebook or Twitter.

In order to sign-up, you should visit this page, fill-in the details and once you get a confirmation email – you’re good to go. Now just download the AT&T Locker app from Windows Phone Marketplace and start backing up your files. The application is easy to use, though you do need to be an AT&T subscriber in order to get all those gigs for free.
