It may not be the Moto X, but since Motorola has been slacking with Android devices lately, any Motorola leak is at least somewhat interesting and suggests there’s progress being made at Google. Indeed, EvLeaks got its hands on some photos of the Motorola Droid Ultra as well as the upcoming specs.
As you can see pictured above, Google hasn’t changed anything about Motorola’s Droid design style which is still very much robotic. The only noticeable difference is that all the branding — Verizon, Motorola, and Droid — are all on the back of the phone, leaving the front to be consumed by the display.
That Droid Ultra display, by the way, is apparently 5 inches. Inside is a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM on board. The camera will be a large 10MP shooter and include a sensor for improved white balance and exposure and increased capture time.
Additionally, the Droid Ultra probably won’t be the only handset to get churned out of Motorola soon. The Ultra is expected to get released alongside a larger Droid Ultra Maxx and a smaller Droid Ultra Mini. A Motorola event is already planned for July 11th and since we already know that there won’t be any Moto X news quite yet, the new Motorola Droid Ultra line could hog all the spotlight.
Stay tuned for all the imminent announcements. It looks like Motorola is planning to make 2013 its comeback year.
