We know ZTE may be one of the first vendors to launch an NVIDIA Tegra 4-powered smartphone and we tend to think that could be the device you can see on the image above. Marked as ZTE U988S, it may get a new name when it officially launches at some point closer to the end of third quarter or perhaps in Q4.
It is said that ZTE’s baby will pack Tegra 4 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, making it pretty much the fastest smartphone on the planet, most likely faster even than those devices relying on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. In addition, we’ll see it sporting 2GB of RAM, 5-inch full HD screen, 13-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel front-facing one and a microSD memory card slot. All this will be packed in a 9mm-thin body, running Android 4.2.x right from the get-go.
We’ll make sure you don’t miss a beat and will get back to you as soon as we have something new to add to this, and any other Tegra 4 story for that matter. Stay tuned…
