T-Mobile is pulling out all of the punches with its new ad campaign for its Jump program, enlisting former Saturday Night Live actor Bill Hader to star in a few short, humorous commercials. The Jump program allows T-Mobile customers to upgrade their devices whenever they like, instead of having to wait out a grueling two-year contract to upgrade a device.
“JUMP! from T-Mobile is designed to provide customers with total protection for one of their prized possessions: their smartphones. It offers the freedom to upgrade to a new device more affordably and protects against malfunction, damage, loss or theft — all for just $10 per month, per phone (plus taxes and fees). That’s just $2 more than most customers have been paying for handset protection alone.”
The first commercial shows Hader’s character being “one-upped” by his buddy, who pulls out a newer smartphone which sets Hader’s character into a rage. In another commercial, Hader’s character drops his phone in a urinal, and another shows what happens when a portly fellow decides to sit on a smartphone.
