Microsoft should release a smaller version of Surface Pro

Microsoft should release a smaller version of Surface Pro

It could be me – but I’ve no problems typing on smaller keyboards. And I would like a smaller laptop or tablet with full keyboard, like Microsoft’s Surface Pro. I also need a desktop operating system to get things done while on the go.

Don’t get me wrong – I also like my Android devices, Nexus 10 and LG Optimus G Pro, but more often than not I need a “real” computer to complete some of the tasks. So I’m carrying my laptop with me, which is pretty light by itself. But I want more. Or that’s less…

The Microsoft Surface Pro is pretty cool device despite the fact that Windows 8 is “still not there” — as many of the existing apps aren’t optimized for touch input. However, I would like it to be even smaller. Actually, the existing Surface Pro can stay as it is; Microsoft should just release a new petite model with a 7- or 8-inch screen for guys/gals like me. That Type Cover is also a must.

Moreover, I would like that smaller Surface Pro to be a powerful device, boasting (at least) 4GB of RAM coupled with Intel’s Core i5 or i7 processor. Tablets like the Acer Iconia W3 are cool, but as far as I’ve understood – they lack the power to run things smoothly when you’re running few different apps at the same time. Hence, these devices can’t really replace your laptop.

I’m sure I’m not the only one craving for something like this. What do you say?
