Nokia’s new flagship Windows Phone handset, the Lumia 1020, was announced last week during a NYC press event. Customers who want the handset at launch can head to AT&T’s website now and secure a unit before it hits retail channels. Pre-orders will ship on July 23rd, and the handset will land in stores on July 26th.
The Lumia 1020 is a looker and has some powerful guts to match its colorful exterior. The Lumia phone has a 4.5-inch AMOLED display with a 768 x 1280 pixel resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by a Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHZ. There’s also 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and almost every connectivity option you could imagine except CDMA. The centerpiece of the phone is its 41 MP PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, autofocus, and both a Xenon & LED flash.
The Lumia 1020 retails for $299 with a two-year customer agreement.
