Earlier this month, we got word that Sony’s upcoming ‘Honami’ would be shipping with a 20 megapixel camera, among other high-end specs. Well, below you can see one of the first photos of the device’s tweaked camera user interface and resolution settings.

As you can see, the shooter on the Honami indeed does support 20 megapixel photos. We can also see that the Honami supports 8 megapixel photos both in 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. Whether or not the device will ship with Cybershot branding remains to be seen, but we’d say that the Honami certainly could deserve such a name on it.

Other specs for the Sony Honami are rumored to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2GB RAM, and 3,000 mAh battery.

Sony has already sent out invites for its IFA event on September 4th, where we might see the official unveiling of the high-end handset. Rumors are also pointing that the Samsung Galaxy Note III could also see the same announcement date.

Sony’s been on a roll lately with its latest smartphone offerings, and the Honami might just take the cake when it’s finally announced.
