We’ve already told you that ZTE is preparing to launch a “mini” version of its Z5 smartphone and now it’s officially out. The device has been announced in China, sporting an-everything-but-mini 4.7-inch 720p screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, and 16GB of expandable storage. In addition, there’s the China-wide 3G support that will allow it to sing along all 3 networks in the country, including China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.
As for the price, the Nubia Z5 mini will go for 1,888 Yuan (about $308) and as I’m writing this – we’ve no idea whether it will ever “make it” to the Western hemisphere. The original Nubia Z5 is still not available in Europe and North America so we doubt its smaller sibling will take that route… and we’re not going to miss it either…
