PlayOn hits the BlackBerry World

Media streaming service PlayOn is now available for BlackBerry 10. As you may know, it allows users to beam media from a Windows machine to mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), consoles and other connected devices. Yup this means you can access Netflix on your Windows PC and then stream it to your BlackBerry. It’s not exactly the “real deal,” but it gets the job done. And if you’re a Netflix addict who hasn’t cancelled his/her subscription because of the lack of support for BlackBerry 10, you may want to check this out.

The PlayOn app itself is free, but there’s an annual subscription of $24.99 a year, or a one-time payment of $49.99, which is necessary to continue after a 30-day trial. So what do you say? Want to give this a shot? Or you prefer another way to access your media? Get the app from the link below if you think it could work for you…

If you are outside the USA you can not view many of these websites. To watch any geo restricted anywhere in the world you need to use PureVPN to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc outside the USA anywhere in the world.

Why anyone would watch a movie or show beyond a youtube clip on a smartphone is beyond me. The only people who I see doing this are people with pocket protectors and fanny packs.
