While most of the world will have to wait ’till September to get their hands on the new Sony Xperia Z Ultra, users in Hong Kong will be able to do so by the end of July. The information comes right from the horse’s mouth, the Japanese company’s local Facebook page. From there we also learn about the recommended retail price, which is set at HK$6,198, the amount that translates into roughly $799. In addition and for a limited period, Sony will also be bundling a protective case, worth HK$298.
Bear in mind this is an HSPA+ model while the LTE-enabled one will be released in September with a price tag of HK$6,398 (about $824). At that time, Sony’s fancy phablet will be available all around the world. We hope to get our review unit soon when we’ll get back to you with additional information. Stay tuned in the meantime…
