Google served up some piping hot numbers this morning at its “Breakfast with Sundar” event in San Francisco. The menu this morning included Android 4.3, the new Nexus 7 and a host of other services. The big news, however, were the numbers Google had to offer pertaining to tablet activations and Play Store app downloads.
Pichai announced that Google is expecting to see over 70 million Android tablet activations by the end of this year, which makes 2012’s 10 million activations look pitiful. The Google Play Store has been highly successful, racking up over 1 million available apps, 50 billion downloads and increased developer revenue.
2013 has been a great year for Google, and is expected to only get better for the internet giant.
