Yesterday was a big day for Google, where the company unveiled the new Nexus 7, Android 4.3 and a dongle device called Chromecast. Google released the Chromecast app for Android today, which enables owners of the content streaming device to use their to configure the device to run on a Wi-Fi network and change device settings.
The $35 Chromecast, which became available for purchase through the Google Play Store yesterday has been selling like hotcakes, with the Google Play Store estimating a 3 to 4 week wait before the device ships, and Amazon listing the dongle as out of stock.
