Nokia Lumia 521 coming to MetroPCS, too

Good things can happen when a smaller carrier is acquired by a bigger one. For instance, users of a smaller network get to benefit from the increased coverage and new devices the bigger carrier is adding to the mix.

Take T-Mobile’s acquisition of MetroPCS. Apparently, it will soon bring the Nokia Lumia 521 to MetroPCS’ users. The low-end Windows Phone 8 device offers quite a bang for the buck. At just $149, it provides more than decent Windows Phone experience, packing a 4-inch IPS WVGA screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera and 8GB of expandable memory. More than what first-time smartphone user could ask for, right? And best of all, the device is widely available through a network of Walmart stores all around the country (at least that’s the case with T-Mobile’s version).

The information that this will happen comes from the ever-savvy EVleaks, which unfortunately failed to share the date… leaving us pondering for another week or so. Cause we expect this will be a short wait…
