Motorola tells UK customers: No Moto X for you

Motorola announced its latest flagship phone, the Moto X and confirmed it would land on all major US carriers. According to Pocket-lint, UK residents can stop drooling over the sleek new handset because it is not coming overseas. Sadly, the X is keeping its roots in the US.

A Motorola UK spokesperson provided Pocket-lint with the following statement:

“Essentially, the Moto X is the first device in a new product portfolio, basically a new family of devices … Because it is the first one, the Moto X has had a real buzz around it, but the US launch is not about the US being Motorola’s priority at all, there are devices coming to Europe. We can’t share what they are as of yet, but they are from the same family. They are cool and they are exciting and there is a lot in Europe coming up.”

So UK residents are you a bit disappointed that the Moto X is staying in the US? Will that sour you on future phones that Motorola plans to launch from this family of devices?  Share your reactions in the comments.

Yeah, been waiting for this so basically I’m done with being interested in Motorola. All three other Motorola’s are exclusive to Verizon and now this is exclusive to USA so….ill just get the nexus 5 then. By the time they remember the rest of the planet I’ll have a new nexus and not be interested either way.
