According to Phone Arena, Samsung and AT&T are offering some relief to Galaxy S4 Active owners with water-damaged phones. Sources claim there is a memo in AT&T’s internal system that instructs representatives to offer customers a replacement for their water-damaged Galaxy S4 Active. Customers must have purchased their S4 Active from AT&T, and they can only swap their defective device with another Galaxy S4 Active.
If true, this policy is likely a response to an increasing number of reports detailing problems with the S4 Active after it has been exposed to water. The phone is supposed to withstand submersion in 3 feet of water for 30 mins, but some customers have experienced problems immediately after a short dunk in a liquid.
Details on when this policy will be implemented were not provided.
