Sony is pushing out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia Tablet Z. The rollout has started with the LTE-enabled version while those owning a Wi-Fi only model will have to wait for another few days or weeks.
The new software, version 10.3.1.A.0.244, brings along a number of enhancements, including several UI changes. Actually, we’re talking about the same build that is now available for the Sony Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia ZR (as we reported few days ago).
Some of the visible changes include the top-placed notification bar, centered virtual buttons and pull-down quick settings, which is also found in the Xperia smartphone line-up. I’m sure there are many other under-the-hood performance and stability tweaks though unfortunately we can’t comment on those as we don’t have the official change log.
