Roku has updated its iOS app today, which will allow users to stream video from their iDevices directly to their Roku set-top box. The update includes support for the Roku 2, Roku 3, Roku HD, Roku LT and Roku Streaming Stick. The update also brings a few minor bug fixes, and brings the app up to version 2.3.0.
The Roku iOS app already includes the ability to stream pictures and music to their Roku devices, and the addition of video rounds out the iOS app’s functionality. There’s no mention on when and if this feature will make its way to the Android version of the Roku app, but we can’t imagine video streaming not making its way to the Android side of things.
The Roku app can be downloaded from the App Store link below.
