Looks like certain Chinese handset maker is looking to out-Samsung the Samsung by launching a Snapdragon 800-powered smartphone with 4GB of RAM. Yes, if this proves true that would be the first such device ever released. And that’s also the maximum amount of RAM 32-bit Android platform can handle at the moment.
Details are scarce at present but we expect to get additional details soon. In the meantime, we can share that this phone could cost around 1799 Yuan which is an equivalent of some $295. And yes, that’s the off-contract price, making this beast-phone that much more attractive. In comparison, unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 is selling for around $600, while the iPhone 5 could be yours for $650.
Rest of the specs include a pair of cameras (13-megapixel on the back, 5-megapixel front-facing one), Adreno 330 graphics, 2500mAh battery, while Android 4.3 will run the show right from the get-go.
As for which company will make this device, it is said that will be Shenzhou-based Hasee.
Again, we’ll get back to you as soon as new details emerge. Stay tuned in the meantime…
