Google updated its iOS version of Google Play Books yesterday, bringing with it access to over 4 million books from the Google Play Book Store and some new note taking features. Users will now be able to take advantage of Google’s digital textbook library, which allows students to rent textbooks from the service.
Here’s what’s new in version 1.6.0:
- Highlighting and note-taking are now supported in scanned pages books
- Added support for rental books
- Added sepia reading mode
- Stability and performance improvements
