It looks like the NVIDIA Shield may not be the only device coming from the company, as images of a Tegra Tab have recently surfaced.
We haven’t seen NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 on many devices since it was announces at CES earlier this year. So far, we have the Shield and the upcoming HP Slatebook X2, but little else. Well, NVIDIA may be looking to remedy this with its very own tablet. The device you see above, if it does indeed materialize, will likely rock the Tegra 4, and shows off a micro-HDMI port, rear-facing camera, and micro USB charging port. It’s a farly standard design for what looks to be a 7 inch tablet, which we’d also imagine is running Android.
This past April, NVIDIA filed a trademark for the “Tegra Tab” name in the US, so there’s a good chance that we’ll be seeing this device in the future. The surfaced photos came out of China, so while the US may eventually get such a Tab, it may remain in the east for a while — and again, that’s to say the device is actually being produced for launch.
The NVIDIA Shield has proven itself to be quite the powerhouse of a device for gamers, and it does make sense for NVIDIA to offer up a device that’s not just for a niche market.
I for one would be pumped to the a NVIDIA-made tablet myself. What about you? Sound off in the comments below!
