There’s a new member of LG’s L-series of devices – Optimus L1 II. As you can imagine from its name, we’re talking about an entry-level model, one that’s hardly a power-house, but an affordable option for first-time smartphone buyers. And affordable it is – you will be able to get one of these for just $95 sans any strings attached.
Of course, you can’t expect much for that money. The Optimus L1 II comes with low-end hardware that includes a 3-inch QVGA screen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A processor, 512MB of RAM, 7.2Mbps HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 2-megapixel camera, 1540mAh battery and 4GB of expandable storage. Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is running the show out of box with LG’s own custom UI singing on top.
The LG Optimus L1 II will be available in emerging markets, including Vietnam, India and Russia. It may also hit Europe where such phone could be popular among the postpaid crowd…
