New Deltron 3030 EP Now Available On iTunes and Google Play Music All Access

Oh my god, it’s all happening! No, it’s not the singularity, but it’s close enough. The newest EP from Deltron 3030 is available on iTunes and Google Play Music All Access today, giving hip-hop heads a taste of what is to come from the legendary ensemble that has had us lying in wait for new jams since way back in Y2K. Deltron 3030’s City Rising From The Ashes EP includes three songs from the upcoming album, Event II.

Deltron 3030 is mainly composed of Del The Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator and Kid Koala. Their debut album was released way back in the year 2000, and was unlike any hip-hop album before it. Del harnessed his nerdiness to create a concept album about surviving on a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 3030, full of mechs, lasers and mutants. Here’s a little snippet from Wikipedia:

“The album’s story casts Del in the role of Deltron Zero, a disillusioned mech soldier and interplanetary computer prodigy rebelling against a 31st century New World Order. In a world where evil oligarchs suppress both human rights and hip-hop, Del fights rap battles against a series of foes, becoming Galactic Rhyme Federation Champion.”

So what are you waiting for, Deltron fans? Head over to iTunes or the Google Play Store to check out the new three song EP. Both stores sell the EP for $3.87, but if you’ve got Google Play Music All Access, there’s no need to shell out a dime. Deltron 3030’s Event II will be released on October 1st, and will include guest appearances by Zach De La Rocha, Black Rob and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

And if you haven’t heard the OG Deltron 3030 album, DO IT NOW! You won’t be disappointed.

The Deltron 3030 Event II tracklist is as follows:

1. “Stardate” (feat. Joseph Gordon-Levitt)
2. “The Return”
3. “Pay the Price”
4. “Nobody Can” (feat. Aaron Bruno of AWOLNATION)
